On the road.....

November 18-
Dave and I are on a two week vacation! We left Brisbane early this morning to catch our flight to Christchurch, New Zealand. Although after checking in and being told to go directly to the gate, we stopped off for a coffee and donuts first. We barely make it through security and to the plane on time. Come to find out, they track you after the check in and will come and find you if you're late. This is the reason our plane was 30 minutes behind schedule...waiting for other passengers to board!

We flew to Christchurch, New Zealand and picked up our bags. The sun was shining and we couldn't resist going outside for a quick picture. We quickly realize that it's 5 minutes until our connecting flight boards, so we run and drop our bags at the domestic flight drop off and go to our gate. Our plane was small, the flight short and we were served tea....so civilized!

We arrived in Queenstown, New Zealand and went to the Platinum Villas to check in. Our apartment is two stories and has a view of the lake on the back patio. Fireplace, kitchen, clean bathrooms and close to the bus stop. Lovely.

Walked UPHILL....capital letters for a reason!....to the VKnow wine Bar and Restaurant. We were greeted by a very nice man and a group of very horrible karaoke singers at the bar. Luckily they finished their song and were done. We ordered wine/beer, Greek salads, Mediterranean pizza and a berry parfait for dessert. Very good and filling for the walk DOWNHILL to the apartment.

7,900 steps today....

Tomorrow we pick up Paxton, Perry and Hannah. :)
