Bonjour!
Thursday night Dave and I went to Bulimba so that I could take my French class. It's a beginners class and no previous French language expected.
Here's a run down on my 4 classmates...one girl is in her 20's and took French in high school, another 20-something girl who is German also took French in high school and works with French speaking people, and an older couple. The husband has business dealings with the French and has travelled to France with his wife for 6-7 years. And then there's me....no previous French taken.
The teacher is great and I did learn some things, but I found out pretty quickly that they are all ahead of me! And to top it off I was actually learning two languages because they kept throwing out Australian terms I didn't know and I was having to ask what they were. So a little confusing but we were all laughing a lot and having a good time.
Needless to say I spent my whole day on Friday in front of the iPad trying to catch up to all of them. Thank goodness there is audio and I can listen to podcasts and websites for the things I need to know! I'm not usually the one struggling in a class, so I am feeling somewhat dense. However, now with a plan firmly in place I think I'll be able to stay caught up.
Au revoir.....Lovey

So cool...I want to learn French... Amanda is studying now and her roommate is fluent. So if we ever get our skype/facetime figured out...we can practice together ( or you can teach me..lol).
ReplyDeleteHope you are well.
