Friday..

Today we caught two buses to go to Masters (which is like Lowe's) and pick up a few needed items.

We shopped for about two hours (we had a long list!) and ended up with too much for a bus ride home. I think the microwave was the tipping point! So we called a cab and waited and waited and waited and called them again and waited and waited and waited. Then the "Pennington" side of me kicked in. Seriously, it was 50 minutes!! So I had Dave call another cab company although he was a little worried that the first one would show up. I told him I would NOT get in the cab now no matter that the sun had gone behind clouds and the wind had kicked up and I was freezing! I would be giving that cab driver a piece of my mind!

So luckily the second cab came in 5 minutes and the driver laughed at us with our overflowing cart, but helped us load everything in.

We never saw the first cab driver...much to Dave's relief!

This is the first time that not having a car worked against us....
