Hiking

Saturday we decided to go hiking with our friend, Colette. Mt Coot-tha is not far and a good place to start. We started with the Summit Lookout  that starts at JC Slaughter Falls.  It's a short 1.9km walk and uphill....obviously.  But at the top you have the 360 degree view of the city and surrounds and a cafe. We go down another path and figure out that we're not quite sure where it goes and how far, so we backtrack to the Aboriginal Art Trail which is only 1km and has artwork from local aboriginals along the trail. We did see one of those big lizards climbing up a tree!  All in all we hiked around for a couple of hours and then went out for lunch. A lovely day....
